Don was a long-time, active participant in The Robot Group. He served as President, Vice-president, and board member along the way and was active in a number of projects including the 3D CNC mill project.
Don’s background is in mechanical design. Like most Robot Group members he’s collected a lot of mechanical junk over the years which he claims are future robot parts. He’s built a hexwalker robot and likes to create strange robots from his stash of mechanical junk. Don has a pilots license but he’s kept pretty busy on the ground these days.
After serving in the US Air Force, Don worked for Pitney-Bowes then moved into maintaining bank equipment before retiring and relocating to Asheville, NC with his wife, Sue.
He still lurks on the mailing list.
